Bastille Days 2012 in Milwaukee This Weekend

Bastille Days Milwaukee
It's Bastille Days in Milwaukee!  The party started last night with the annual 5K run through the streets of downtown.  It starts every day at 11am, and runs to midnight.  Sunday, the festival ends at 9pm.  Where will you find the French and Cajun food, wine, and fun?  Cathedral Square Park is the site, with the surrounding streets also blocked off.  Is there music?  Of course!

Bastille Days Milwaukee Music Lineup Highlights

Friday - Paul Cebar - Jeffery Broussard - Mike Mangione

Saturday - Big Sam's Funky Nation - RAS Movement - Extra Crispy Brass Band

Sunday - I'm Not a Pilot - The Tritonics - Joe 2.0

The list above is just a small sample of the bands scheduled to play.  There is also the (somewhat overbooked) usual list of Milwaukee cover bands, and tribute acts on the bill.  Still, it's going to be fun, no matter when you head to the event. Bastille Days started out twenty years ago, and was just a small event that promoted some of the local businesses in the area.  As Milwaukee just can't let a small festival stay small, it's reported that nearly one quarter million people head down to the event.
Sample the wines at Indulge, walk the aisles at Luci Boutique, or window shop at Zita Bridal Salon.  Join the lunch crowd on Friday, and get a taste of all things French. Either way, you will have a great time at Bastille Days.
