The Milwaukee Bucks sit idle while the NBA and the players seem to be far apart. One quick scan of Google news on the strike shows that very little progress has been made in the way of a settlement. With the NFL season in full swing, minds are further distracted from basketball. Star Bucks players like Andrew Bogut and Brandon Jennings find other work to keep themselves busy, but what about the low profile players in the NBA? Are they finding ways to make ends meet? Should we feel sorry for them at all? Nobody likes to be out of work. Is anyone thinking about employees of all the basketball venues across the United States? There is little mention of that, but rest assured, they are hurting too. Word is that preseason games are in jeopardy of being cancelled if the players and teams don't come to an agreement soon. That would certainly have an economic impact on downtown Milwaukee businesses.
