Latest Shows Added for the Marcus Amphitheater

A quick update on Summerfest tickets, or more specifically Marcus Amphitheater tickets for shows during Summerfest.

The latest shows added to the 2007 Milwaukee Summerfest lineup include Panic! At the Disco on Saturday, July 7th and Daughtry (yes, Chris Daughtry of American Idol fame) on Friday, July 6. Pretty decent seats are still available through Ticketmaster for the Panic! show. There hasn't been an announcement yet on when tickets for the Daughtry concert go on sale, nor has there been mention of who else is playing with them. I would imagine ticket prices will be quite reasonable, both at the box office and in the secondary market, for both of these shows, as the quantity of HUGE fans for these two bands doesn't hold a candle to that of Roger Waters or Bon Jovi, who are playing the same stage at the Marcus Amphitheater just days earlier.

In conclusion, if you want to stay up on what the kids are listening to, then check one or both of these affordable shows out...you never know, you just might like it?

Andre Rieu Tickets - AVAILABLE DAY OF SHOW!!

Who this guy is, I will never know, but folks LOVE him.

In the effort to inform my public about ticket deals and steals, I cannot skip this one. Andre Rieu is playing tonight in Milwaukee at the US Cellular Arena (why here? has he seen the Milwaukee Theatre) to Milwaukee's finest Bingo crowd. A conductor and violinist from the Netherlands, Rieu has made a mark for himself in with the uber-competitive waltzing/classical orchestra music genre.

Here is the thing, people have paid a significant price to see (hear?) his performance, and if you wanted to go, but didn't want to stomach the market price, I found some decent tickets around town for just a touch above face value. This is unheard of for Andre Rieu tickets.

Fall Out Boy Tickets

Your kids know them. Maybe you haven't heard of them, but Fall Out Boy is BIG. They are a big band coming to Milwaukee, with LITTLE ticket prices. Great Fall Out Boy tickets are around town and available for a decent price.

The show is coming up next week, May 17 at the Bradley Center, which is right downtown in Milwaukee. Playing with Fall Out Boy is +44 (the guys from Blink 182) and The Academy Is...The entire floor seating is general admission, a dance floor, if you will. If you are over 25, (20?), I would shoot for a reserved seat in the 200-level of the Bradley Center.

Hey, while we are at it, thought I would share this tidbit of information from the band's blog regarding fraudulent backstage passes .

"We learned today that there is a scam offering backstage passes to our upcoming Honda Civic Tour. Please DO NOT give cash, credit card info, paypal, etc to ANYONE offering any kind of access to any Fall Out Boy show. There is no way for the public to obtain these passes which are solely for our crew and working staff."

Milwaukee Brewers and Post-Season????

I realize it is VERY early to even be whispering such words, but as I sit at work listening to the beating the Milwaukee Brewers continue to put on their opponents, I can't help but get excited.

Tickets for Brewers home games are still available through the box office, but not as many as would be the case in years past. Couldn't make me happier! As you drive past Miller Park on 94, you can smell the brats cookin' and feel the fans growing excitement that this could be the year to put their team back on the map.

Getting back to getting in the doors of Miller Park, if you are willing to sit anywhere, you really aren't talking about that much money. If you need something by the bases, Sections 112-123, you'll need to dole out a bit more coin, but if the team continues to keep up their end of the bargain, you should leave the ballpark totally satisfied!
